If there’s one thing a lot of free games have in common these days is that you can collect gems to increase your abilities within the game. This can often be done by completing tasks or levels, but many games also allow you to purchase these gems from the App Store. With the Free Gift Cards Guide for Free Gems app you can access free gems as well as paid ones. This is a free app and it’s compatible with the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
There are a lot of free games available for download from the App Store but most of them utilize in-app purchases to make money from their apps. Often you can purchase various upgrades but to do this you have to purchase gems which act as currency within the game. The Free Gift Cards Guide for Free Gems app is supposed to help you obtain these gems for free, but I found it didn’t really deliver as promised.
This app seems very basic but it doesn’t provide any instructions at all for how you’re supposed to take advantage of the free offers. It seemed more like a guide for how to redeem gift cards on various platforms than anything else. In one section it offers a guide for how to buy gems for free with iTunes gift cards. I found this really confusing. How are they free if you have to use an iTunes gift card to redeem them? Somebody has to pay for the iTunes gift card. This app will require 23.2 MB of free space on your iOS device.
How it Works
When you open the app for the first time you’ll see a list of guides; a couple of them are picture guides but most of them are video guides describing how to redeem gift cards on some of the most popular platforms. At the top is a tab that’s supposed to allow you to redeem free gift card for gems and games but you’ll have to register before attempting to take advantage of any of these offers.
The other tabs are simply videos that can walk you through the process of redeeming gift cards on iTunes, Amazon, Xbox, and PlayStation. These videos don’t teach you how to get anything for free; they simply teach you how to redeem a gift card that someone had to pay for. There’s also another tab you can tap on at the top of the screen that takes you to a list of videos that appear to be top ten guides to gaming and similar things. These don’t seem to have anything to do with redeeming gems. This app is a major disappointment.
