Anyone familiar with Sentinel Uprising will quickly understand the storyline behind Uncanny X-Men: Days of Future Past. The Sentinels are the new rulers of the world and most of the mutant heroes are either dead or imprisoned. But there is still one chance to defeat the evil forces: Wolverine must go back to the past to prevent the rise of the Sentinels.

The best iPad apps for tactical games

The game starts in a post-apocalyptic world. The present day is in ruins and the future is bleak. Only the past can save the mutants and the whole of humanity.

You begin as Wolverine running across desolate cities to meet up with Kitty. You have to fight along the way using Wolverine’s classic claw attacks. Once you find Kitty, you will be able to unlock this character and use her to play the game. Eventually, you will meet more X-Men heroes including Colossus, Scarlet Witch, and Cyclops.

Once you have unlocked different X-Men heroes, you will be able to switch between characters at your own leisure. Each character has its own power attributes and you can upgrade skills as you advance through different levels.

Gameplay is pretty straightforward. Like most platformers, you have to defeat dozens of minions before you can face off with the boss. The game can be hectic at times but it doesn’t deviate from the main storyline.
