Leo’s Pad Appisode 1

Price: Free

For: iPad with iOS 5.0 or later

Leo’s Pad Appisode 1by Kidaptive Inc. is an interactive educational app for the iPad.

The app features the childhood versions of Galileo and Leonardo da Vinci and is meant to engage your preschoolers while eliminating distractions and maximizing learning.

Kids will learn letters, counting, shapes, and colors as well as vocabulary. There are features that also touch on inner motivation and taking turns so your preschooler will learn all the basic preschool academic skills.

The app is about Leo and Gally; Leo opens the story with the explanation that we’re going to Gally’s birthday party. Users help Leo throughout with learning activities, like drawing a birthday card, playing hide-and-seek, and counting rocks.

The second appisode, “Rocket to the Stars,” will come out this month.

Features of the app include co-play activities, fun songs that are easy to remember, intereactive games to help kids learn, modeling of social skills, and no third-party advertising.

The app was released early December 2012 and has 124 ratings with an average of 4.5 out of five stars. Feedback comments are positive.

I found the animation totally amazing in this app. Even older kids will enjoy the story, so don’t worry if your kid is in kindergarten or a bit higher.
