The best horoscope apps for iPad

Before I go too far into this Gold threat tarot app review, I’ll admit I’m not much of a believer when it comes to this type of thing, but I will also say that if this is something you believe passionately in then Golden Thread Tarot is an excellent app.

The creator of this app Tina Gong is a colorful lady and her background story is quite interesting, which we’ll explore in the review. This is a free app and it’s compatible with the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. let's see if this is the best tarot app for iPhone.

The Lady Behind the App

As we’ve already indicated, Golden Thread Tarot is the brainchild of Tina Gong. She really is an interesting character. She describes herself as a “self-taught illustrator, designer, and front-end developer.”

In a nutshell, she’s a well-rounded individual that has her hand in many pots. She’s also the type of person that just doesn’t know when to quit.

Golden Thread Tarot isn’t her first attempt at creating an app for the App Store. The first app she created was an app called HappyPlaytime, which was an app designed to help women learn about female masturbation.

Needless to say, it was a little controversial and Apple refused to accept it into the App Store. After that initial rejection, Tina was at a loss for a while with what to do next, but she soon hit upon an idea of creating an app for Tarot reading.

For a while, she was working at a tech startup firm and she got into a routine of providing Tarot readings for coworkers.

She found they were quite interested in it, but didn’t really understand what it was all about. It was then that she realized if her coworkers were interested in learning about Tarot perhaps a lot more people would be to.

In keeping with her well-rounded nature, she not only came up with the idea for this app, but she also designed it herself. She has a strong background in tech as well as all of her other talents so this was fairly straightforward for her. Tina’s what you would call a true entrepreneur.

Learn About Tarot

There are quite a few different Tarot apps in the App Store, but these are generally designed to provide a simulated reading performed by a virtual Tarot reader. Golden Thread Tarot is something a little different – this app is more concerned with helping you to learn all about Tarot and the benefits it can provide you.

Best iphone and ipad apps

In my opinion, this is a much more useful and interesting way of learning about Tarot, so in that sense it’s one of the best Tarot apps in the App Store.

This app has a nice, clean user interface with a simple grey and white color scheme that’s easy on the eyes. Unlike some other apps, this app really is completely free – there are no in-app purchases and there are no ads either.

There are simply no limitations as you can access all of the information in the app any time you want. This app will require 26.6 MB of available space on your iOS device.

The Anatomy of the App

When you run the app for the first time, there is an informative walk-through that explains how the app works and how it can benefit you. Once you’ve worked through this, and familiarized yourself with the app, you can get started right away.

There are no sign-up procedures and you don’t have to login using your Facebook profile or anything like that. Personally, I really liked this aspect of the app as I find apps that require you to sign in to be a bit of a pain.

As far as the actual Tarot reading portion of the app is concerned, each day you are presented with a card of the day which provides you with a reading designed to guide you in your daily actions.

You can then save that card to your log and rate the card on how you feel it actually describes you so that the app can adjust and provide you with more accurate cards going forward.

The reason I found this app really interesting was because of the background information it provides. If you tap on the menu in the top left corner you can actually access some great information sections. There’s a lessons section, a Tarot database, and you can also access a full Tarot reading from this menu.

The lessons section is divided into four main parts. The first part provides you with an overall introduction to Tarot and how it can benefit you. In the second section you can view an explanation of what magic is and how it can affect your life.

The third section provides an explanation of what the Major Arcana are and how they can be used for guidance in your life – essentially they are big picture items. The last section delves into the Minor Arcana, which deal with more specific aspects of your life.

The Tarot database is just what it sounds like, a full database of all the cards in a Tarot deck. Each card is accompanied by an explanation of what the card generally represents and how it can be used to guide you in your life. There is even a search box you can use to look for a specific card.

The Cards Say to Download the App

I’m still not entirely convinced that Tarot readings are for me, but there is no doubt that this is an excellent app. If you’re a strong believer in the relationship that Tarot cards have in guiding you towards your goals then this is a great app and well worth the download.
