WatchESPN by ESPN is a video streaming app that allows users to access live feeds to ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN3, and ESPNU on their iPhone, iPad, or iPad Touch.

This app grants users live access to thousands of live sporting events across the many ESPN networks, including Major League Baseball, NBA Regular Season and Playoffs, Barclay’s Premier League Soccer, Spanish Primera League Soccer, The Masters, US Open, and College Football.

Also included is live access to many ESPN favorites, including SportsNation, PTI, SportsCentre, and Mike & Mike.

Please note, access to WatchESPN live video will be determined by users’ TV provider and/or Internet Service Provider. Those who receive ESPN as part of their TV package will receive access to ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN3, and ESPNU. Full access to WatchESPN live video is currently offered by the following providers:

• Bright House Networks
• Comcast XFINITY
• Cox
• Midcontinent Communications
• Optimum
• Time Warner Cable
• Verizon FiOS TV

WatchESPN developers have advised that more providers will be added in due course.

WatchESPN was updated to version 1.6.5 in mid-November of 2012. This version has a total of 1484 customer ratings with an average of two out of five stars.

I find this app incredibly easy to use with its bold interface and simple layout. The latest version of this app has been optimized to get the most from the iPhone 5’s larger screen which I found to be a nice touch, further enhancing the already high-quality video streaming.
