Bank Of America - Mobile Banking app review

Bank Of America – Mobile Banking

Price: FREE

Bank Of America – Mobile Banking by Bank Of America is a finance app that enables users to log in securely and access their bank accounts.

Users of this app will need to have already registered for Online Banking and will gain access to features such as Email & Mobile Transfers, Mobile Check Deposit, BankAmeriDeals™, and miscellaneous banking activities such as checking account balances, paying bills, and locating ATMs and local Bank Of America branches.

Email & Mobile Transfers is a particularly noteworthy feature as it allows users to send money to anyone using just an email address or mobile number. This foregoes the need to exchange any bank account information, further heightening the security of one’s fianances.

Push Notifications are also featured in this app so users can receive alerts from Bank Of America direct to their iPhone.

Bank Of America – Mobile Banking was updated to version 4.2.69 in early-December of 2012. This version has a total of 761 customer ratings with an average of 2.5 out of 5 stars. Feedback comments are generally quite negative, with users remarking that the app is not particularly user-friendly or suited to the banking needs in general.

At a glance, the Bank Of America – Mobile Banking app seems to be quite apt and simple to use, however the negative user comments do not fill me with confidence. My personal recommendation would be to take the app for a test spin and see for yourself if it meets your banking needs.

For: iPhone, iPod touch, iPad with iOS 4.3 or later
