Free Books app review

Free Books

Price: Free

Free Books by Spreadsong, Inc. gives you access to a handpicked selection of classic books and use it as an eReader.

One cool feature with this app is the ability to load your own eBooks on there with the help of the Dropbox integration. Simply import your books and you'll have them on your mobile device anytime you want them.

This app offers 23,469 classic books for download. While you read you're able to use bookmarks, add notes, make highlights, and use the dictionary.

The free books are offered through Classicly, where you'll find a wide variety of topics. There are Victorian novels, letters from leaders in history, Shakespeare, autobiographies, philosophy books, and plenty more.

And it’s not just about the wide variety of books offered here, the app also features night mode so you can read even in the dark, high resolution book covers, reading statistics, and author pages.

Downloading books is extremely simple and fast, all it requires is a tap of your finger. You can view your books on your own bookshelf. Plus this latest version features stability improvements.

Free Books was updated on Dec. 4, 2012 and has 1,872 customer ratings with an average rating of four and a half stars out of five.

What I really enjoyed about this app is the selection of books. There’s a good chance I wouldn’t go out and buy all of these novels, but having them available for free and with easy and quick access really helps broaden my own personal library.
