If you are the kind of person who likes to whip out their imaginary drum sticks and just go to town on whatever surface may be near then you might want to check out this app. This app features realistic drum action and a wide variety of sounds to keep everyone well entertained.

More than 20 different kits are included in this app, such as: rock, acoustic, punk, analog, minimal, and numerous others. To help get the real drum feel the position that you tap on the drums surface changes the sound just like in real life. Tap closer to the center for a louder, fuller sound, or tap closer to the edge for a quieter sound. This effect also works for the snare and high-hat giving you that pedal mute sound or the crisp crack of a rim shot.

Also featured is a full mixer called Loop maker mode. With this mode you can easily create and sequence your drum tracks and then save them in your Kickstart library. It is recommended that you use headphones or an external speaker system when working with your beats so you can enjoy the full range of sound that most mobile device speakers just can’t offer.

This app was updated to version 3.2 on February 4, 2013 and included dub step and new drum kits. iAmDrums has 43 ratings with an average score of 3.5 stars out of five.
