Price: Free

Vtok by Skymobius, Inc allows you to chat with friends and family via text, voice, and video on your iPad.

If you want to be able to stay in touch with all your friends and family for free, this is a great option. You can make free voice calls and gtalk video calls to any of your Google contacts. If your recipient is using their PC or Mac they can use text chat and Voice Chat.

You'll be able to enjoy voice calls, video calls, and texting (IM) with Vtok and Google Talk users, which opens the door to a whole lot of people. With this app there's no need to sign up; all you need to do is log in using your Gmail or Google account. This app requires either 3G or WiFi.

There are plenty of features here including being able to use your back and front camera, the ability to choose video or not and even disable or enable it during a call, and add and invite contacts right from within the app. You'll be able to still receive calls even when the app is in the background or closed.

You have unlimited SMS and phone calls available to you when using Google Voice. (This is meant for user who have a Google Voice account, which requires an in-app purchase).

Vtok was updated on Mar. 8, 2013 and currently has 12 customer ratings with an average of three and a half out of five stars.

The app itself has some great features and offers a bunch of ways to stay in touch with friends and family however there seems to be some issues with it crashing from time to time.
