Magic Jigsaw Puzzles by Semyon Milbert is an app chock-full of puzzles for your iPad.

You’ll have a great relaxing time putting together these original puzzles set to pleasing music. If you love building puzzles, then you’re going to really love this app.

It’s constantly being updated and currently has more than 5000 high-def puzzles for you to enjoy. There’s a new free puzzle added every day. You can choose from among four levels of difficulty; start off as a beginner and work your way up to master, which has 280 pieces.

You can rotate pieces so the difficulty is higher than some other puzzle apps. You can also move pieces in groups if you assemble that way.

If you like, work on more than one puzzle at a time.

You can participate in weekly tournaments, compete with friends, and more. You can save finished puzzles in your Camera Roll and share via social network platforms or email.

Not all puzzles are free. You will pay $0.99 and up for the puzzles depending on the size and complexity. If you want to enjoy ad-free play, that will cost you $3.99.

Magic Jigsaw Puzzles was updated to Version 1.5.0 on April 15, 2013. The update added the ability to choose the background music, new backgrounds, improved rotation mode, added Magic Puzzle Profile, added the ability to use email instead of Facebook account to sign in for tournaments, and reduced the app size. The current version has 1626 customer ratings with an average of 4.5 out of five stars. Feedback comments are mixed, with some people complaining that you get ads even on the paid puzzles.

I like the idea of this app but like many users, think that I shouldn’t be bothered by ads when I’ve bought a puzzle, and four dollars for an ad-free experience is pretty pricey, particularly if I’ve purchased several puzzles already.
