This is the free version of the popular iPhone app for shopping lists that gives you the ability to create quick and simple grocery lists that will ensure you never forget an item at the store. In this grocery app, the focus is on a user-friendly design that helps you quickly populate your list.

How Does it Work?

Grocery lists are one category in which you will find what seems like an endless amount of apps. For me this kind of app needs to be well-laid out, simple to use, and quick when it comes to adding items.

This app was actually recommended to me by a friend so I figured it was well worth a try. I’m sad to say that I found it disappointing and really didn’t live up to my expectations.

While apps that allow you to create lists may not be everyone’s cup of tea, for me, they are one category I take pretty seriously so I expect a lot from them. I was less than impressed by the features offered and the pure lack of purpose offered.

Where It Falls Short

There were a number of ways in which this app falls short. It was just far too basic for my liking. You can enter items to your shopping list from a pre-made list of items or you can manually input a product. That is literally it for features.

I can’t comment on what the paid-for version offers since I haven’t used it but I sincerely hope it provides a lot more use and purpose than the free version. There are so many better free options out there that I’m not even sure why the developer felt this one was complete. It felt like it was only half-finished.

Not only were their no features the user interface was boring and dated looking. Again, the app missed the mark in this area as well.

Clearing your list was supposed to be quick and easy but I found it to be a finicky process that took me multiple tries before I succeeded.

If you’re interested in purchasing the full version it’s available for $5.99 which I found to be very high for a shopping list app. Again, there are plenty of free ones available that offer you some great and very useable features so why would you want to pay for one?

• Erasing your list can be finicky
• Very one-dimensional with no added features or functions
• The full version is pricey for what you get

Final thoughts - keep looking

My final thoughts are to keep looking when it comes to grocery shopping lists. I won’t be returning to use this app anytime soon as I’d rather use a simple piece of paper and pen over this one.
