Claim The Caribbean In Turn-Based Strategy 'Crimson: Steam Pirates'

Crimson: Steam Pirates by Bungie Aerospace is a turn-based, strategy game involving pirates roaming the Caribbean. As an amateur pirate, the player must learn the ropes by stealing booty, raiding ships and fighting off the British. The captain of the ship is a woman named Captain Blackheart, which I found very interesting since pirates are usually men. The game has two chapters each consisting of eight missions. The first two are free chapter but the third costs $0.99 cents to open. You may also play with a friend by switching back and forth or through Facebook login. Each mission starts off with a small story explaining the mission. Although these stories are lengthy it gives the game a more thematic feel as if you were reading an antique letter from the era. The game begins by giving the player a bird’s eye view of the Caribbean and ships roaming around. Little tutorials guide the player on how to control and maintain the ship. Each mission increases with difficulty due to more enemies in the Caribbean. Strategy is key since you may only repair your ship(s) so many times. Since the game is turn-based, the ships move slowly and at certain ranges take longer to reach their final destinations. The upside on this set-up however are the highlighted ranges where the player can shoot or up to where the ship can reach. Knowing the shooting range allows the player to strategically raid or destroy the enemy.

Crimson: Steam Pirates is a fun game that appeals to a wide audience. If you ever want to cause chaos or mischief on the Caribbean, simply play Crimson: Steam Pirates and on you go! But be careful because your ship's life bar can run out easily. Sly your way through enemies and collect all the pirate booty that has ever existed. With stunning graphics and pirate music, you will want to play more. I know I did!
