Jay Blahnik confirms Apple is hiring

Jay Blahnik is a fitness expert who worked on the Nike FuelBand; he has just confirmed his new position at Apple via Twitter. He’s been a consultant to Apple in the past. Many expect that he’ll be working on the iWatch, a highly-rumored but as-of-yet-unconfirmed product.

Apple has been hiring new employees who have a background of working with health sensors. The company has managed to hire staff from firms like AccuVein and MediSensors, and have also started to file trademark applications covering iWatch in several countries. It’s widely expected that we won’t be seeing the device for quite a while due to the technical challenges involved. Expect a launch sometime in late 2014, although that could change at any time.

The iWatch is still in extreme infancy stage so we have no idea what the device will look like or what it’ll do. It’s thought that it’ll tie into an existing iPhone to give the user information on notifications, messages and missed calls.
