And one popular example of that: Flappy Bird, where its cute 8-bit, Super Mario Bros.-esque visuals belie an even more sinister game which demands a whole lot of patience with its gamers. And you do not even need to “win” the game at all; you simply use it because you just want to pass the time. Hence, in this regard, this is why Jump 50 works very well to this purpose. In this, you are a little purple square trying to “jump” over white-colored squares in succeeding order. And really, it’s gaming abstraction taken at its most literal level.
