Introduction

This is a very fun and rather impressive-looking games app which involves throwing a paper airplane and controlling it as you navigate through a 3D environment, competing online with other players in multiplayer battles of truly epic proportions.

I noticed that this Air Wings game has received quite a few negative reviews on the iTunes description page; however, I have had no problems whatsoever with installing, launching, and playing the game.

I think the graphics look great and I love the Pulp Fiction-esque soundtrack which is absolutely perfect for getting you psyched for some aerial combat!

When you enter the training level you’re probably going to notice that you can switch among different planes. In this free version of Air Wings you can only use The Dart which is a basic paper airplane. If you want to upgrade to some more impressive looking (and devastating) aircraft, these can be obtained via in-app purchase.

To control your plane after launching it you have to tilt your iPhone to tilt your plane accordingly. I’ve found the controls to be just responsive enough without being excessive, and I’ve been having a little bit of fun just experimenting and gliding in and out of obstacles.
