TidyUp app review: use puzzles to teach kids about tidying up
Introduction
Here's a way to teach young kids about two rather important things: tidying up plus learning how to solve puzzles. The TidyUp app can be played on the iPad and it is meant for young kids to learn how to solve puzzles, expand their vocabulary, tidy up different rooms, and of course have fun in the process. It’s always great when you can find an app that is entertaining for kids yet has an educational aspect to it.

An Entertaining Option
This app is meant for kids ages two years and older, but younger ones can still give it a try with the help of mom or dad. The game is available in English only and is meant to actually expand and teach them about a variety of words. There are 50 objects in the game that kids need to move around and put in the proper place. These are common everyday objects and as kids move them around the narrator will give the name of the object. As well kids are given tips from the narrator if an item has been placed incorrectly; they are also positively acknowledged when it has been placed correctly.

The latest update has taken a look at the performance of the app, improved it, and added a new room with new puzzles. The app is free to download but to unlock all the rooms you will need to make an in-app purchase of $0.99. The app has 4.5 out of five stars from users who appreciate the simplicity of it along with the educational and entertainment value it provides. Parents also love that it is teaching kids the importance of cleaning up properly, something every parent hopes their child picks up on quickly!

Time to Tidy Up
The way the app works is that you are given a few rooms to explore for free. As well there are some puzzles they can play. This is a great way for children to play around with the app and get a feel for it before you decide to unlock all the rooms. I find the graphics to be really enjoyable and kid-friendly in this game; they almost have a comic book or cartoon-ish feel to them. Placing the items in their correct place is very easy as far as the game controls go and kids will love tidying up again and again.
