A Polished and Professional Offering

The ScriptWrite app comes across very professional and polished an- this is likely due to the fact that it was created by screenwriters for screenwriters so they are well aware of what their target audience wants and needs. With this app you're able to make notes and add to an already in progress screenplay or you can start from scratch and write the whole screenplay within the app. Even if you've written a number of screenplays this app is set up in such a way that it will still be incredibly useful to you. You can import and export screenplays by DropBox, iTunes file sharing, and email. As well you can print your entire script by using AirPrint.

The app's latest update was more than a year ago when it became compatible with iOS 8 and supported export and import of files to DropBox. The app has three out of five stars from users so it could definitely do better in the ratings department. It seems the app isn’t always stable, which can be quite frustrating to users.

Encouraging Users to Write

The ScriptWrite app features a number of tools all meant to encourage users to write. The app is universal so you'll be able to use it anywhere on any of your devices. You can create, duplicate, and change the name of your scripts and there are two modes which are the Read Mode and the Write Mode. Anything you write can always be changed or deleted with ease so you're never stuck with things. You can use the scene database to manage your scenes and move them around, the toolbar is where you'll find the majority of the features, and there is a character database so you can take advantage of auto-fill import. There is smart scrolling, auto character name suggest, a quick start menu of options, and the ability to import and export your files. It should also be noted that you can use an external keyboard with your iPad.

Final Words

The ScriptWrite app for your iPod touch, iPad, and iPhone makes it possible for you to be a screenwriter no matter where you happen to be. Unfortunately this one still needs some perfecting before it can be seen as an all-in-one solution.
