Games that are simple to learn but difficult to master are normally the ones that have the most success on the iOS platform. There’s nothing complicated about playing a game of Tetris but it does get progressively more difficult and it’s this progression that makes the game fun to play. Most people don’t have the time or patience to play complicated games with dozens of different vital aspects to their game play – life’s complicated enough without our video games adding to the problem.

This game includes Game Center integration which enables you to share and compare your scores with others around the world which makes the experience much more social. There are also social sharing options if you want to share the game with your Twitter of Facebook friends. Best of all there are no ads or in-app purchases to worry about – Color Heroes Saga: The Cube War really is completely free. This app will require 35.7 MB of available space on your iOS device.

How to Play

Color Heroes Saga: The Cube War is really a fun little game to play. You control a cube character that starts out as a Viking by default, but can be changed to other character such as a native warrior as you collect coins that you can redeem in the games store. Each different character comes with their own set of sound effects and music which is a nice feature. This game also has full integration with Game Center so you can share and compare your high scores with others.

The game play is pretty simple, your cube starts out as a certain color, and as the colored blocks scroll across the screen you simply swipe your cube towards the blocks when you see one with a color that matches your cube. Every time you do this successfully you collect more coins and in some cases gain an extra cube or two. When you have two or three cubes you have to find two or three cubes in a row that match your color pattern which makes it a little more challenging. If only one of your cubes it’s a matching color you will lose the extra cubes. There are also some cubes that can increase your coin value by up to 4 times so you’ll want to keep your eye out for these. Inevitably, the longer you last the quicker the pace gets. It gets quite challenging after a while, but it’s a whole lot of fun.
