The Walking Dead by comiXology brings the hit comic series right to your iPad.

With this app you can purchase the comic books to read on your iPad giving you the convenience of always having it with you. There’s no need to rush out to buy an issue; instead, just purchase it right on your device.

When you download the app you'll be given your first issue free. After that you can use the in-app feature for purchases.

For those unfamiliar with the comic books series it takes place in a society that has now fallen to pieces. The entire human race is under attack by zombies (the walkers) leaving only a handful of survivors scattered around. The main character, Rick Grimes, is one of the few who has survived thus far and that's who you'll be following in the comic books.

Each issue is jam-packed with action and thanks to the large screen of the iPad the graphics are incredible looking.

This app has recently undergone a number of user-interface improvements and changes. There were also a number of bug fixes. In the new version you can also save your place so no matter where you stop reading the app will remember it for you and you can continue reading.

The Walking Dead was updated on Jan. 29, 2013 and currently has 25 customer ratings with an average rating of four out of five stars.

I loved the sheer convenience factor of this app. Being able to pick up the latest issue straight through my iPad was a time-saver and I was very impressed with the quality of the graphics.
