It never hurts to have basic first aid knowledge so that in an emergency situation you'll be able to react that much more effectively. If you're a parent, knowing first aid is that much more important so that should your child need help you can jump into action. The First Aid White Cross app can be used on your on your iPod touch, iPad, and iPhone and gives you a variety of information on how to handle and react in emergency situations. You'll find all the basic information covered here.
Because emergency situations can pop up any time it’s always wise to know how to react and handle them. The emergency may affect you, your child, your friend, a family member, or a total stranger. This app is meant to cover all the basic and was developed with the White Cross Rescue Association. All of the information you'll find within the app follows the guidelines of the ILCOR (International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation). You can rest assured that everything you read about here was actually checked by professionals in the field of saving lives each and every day.
The app is free to use but there are a couple of in-app purchases both available for $1.99 each. In its most recent update the app addressed a minor bug fix. Currently this offering has 2.5 out of five stars from users, which clearly shows there is room for improvement here.

What to Expect
First off it’s very important to point out that this app can be extremely helpful and provide you with very useful tips and information but it is not in any means meant to replace an actual CPR course. It can act as a wonderful companion tool to a course or just provide you with at least the base knowledge so you are a little better prepared in an emergency situation. Now with that said what can you look forward to when using this app.
Launch the app to be taken to the main menu. There are a couple of different sections here: you can learn about first aid to be used on adults, children, and babies. Many people don’t even realize there are different ways to perform first aid on the different age groups. Tap on any of the groups and there will be the steps laid out. Tap on the individual step to watch a video illustration to ensure you aren’t left with any questions.
