ACLS Rhythms app review: an ideal reference and educational material for Adult Cardiac Life Support 2021
Introduction
What we’ve got here is an ideal reference and educational material for Adult Cardiac Life Support, providing everything that healthcare providers need to administer the correct ACLS medications in the correct dosages, plus loads more all in one convenient ACLS rhythms app.
The best calorie counter apps for iPhone and iPad
This is one of those apps that has received a fairly “meh” response from the users on the iTunes description page, if you’ll excuse my rather casual description. I must admit that I too expected far more considering the cost of this heart app.
Having said that, this is one of the medical apps on the market that cater to providers of ACLS, so if you do like the look of what’s on offer then this cardiac app is pretty safe to say that it will be worth the money to you.
A Must-Have for ACLS Providers
ACLS Rhythms - Resuscitation Guidelines & ECG Advisor has been designed to act as a comprehensive point of reference for providers of Adult Cardiac Life Support, containing common ACLS medications, doses, and so on.
The best online doctor apps for the iPhone
There is a large collection of textbook examples of common arrhythmias, and you can also access real rhythms with pulse oximetry tones, defibrillation noises, monitor alarms, making this a very powerful educational resource.
Enjoy Self-Examination, HD Videos, and More
If you’d prefer more of an audio-visual approach to your learning then you’ll be pleased to know that this app also contains a handful of high-quality videos which provide as accurate a representation of specified arrhythmia as is currently possible.
The best iPad apps for losing weight
Once you’ve familiarized yourself with some of the subject matter, you can then test yourself with the ACLS Rhythms Exam to make sure your knowledge and understanding of the content is where it needs to be.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- An ideal reference and educational material for Adult Cardiac Life Support
- Access common ACLS medications, doses, and so on
- Includes a collection of textbook examples of common arrhythmias
- Access real rhythms with pulse oximetry tones, defibrillation noises, monitor alarms
- View gorgeous high-quality videos for an approachable learning experience
- Use the ACLS Rhythms Exam to test your knowledge of the subject matter
- Also includes general guidelines for the management of ACLS
Cons
- Although this app has generally been well-received, I would like to highlight one user complaint that I actually am partially in agreement with, which reads as follows: “The ECGrhythms ap was much more helpful for studying ECGs. The cardio versions are a nice addition but not worth the extra money. […]The ap needs more examples of each rhythm to give a better sampling of what they look like in real life. Instead of simply listing the drugs, show us the ECH effect. Show us the ACLS algorithm in action on the ECG along with patient SS feedback. I expected a lot more for this much money. Save your money until a better ap comes along.”
Final Words
I think it could be argued that the jury is still out on ACLS Rhythms - Resuscitation Guidelines & ECG Advisor, so I would suggest using your own due diligence to determine if you can justify the $9.99 price tag.
