Dark Parables features the Red Riding Hood Sisters. They are a company of orphaned women who protect their land from the Mist Wolves and their evil Queen. They’ve been kidnapped and now you must save them. To do so you have to unlock the hidden pieces by investigating the town and over 40 other exquisite locations to find out what the driving force is behind the continued attacks.

While attempting to defeat the nefarious Wolf Queen who has unleashed legions of ravaging wolves into the world, you must investigate to save the Red Riding Hood Sisters and stop the Queen’s plans. With great graphics and atmosphere, this game is sure to impress older children through young adults.

A Great Game to Play

I really liked playing Dark Parables. The graphics were great, the story was interesting, and the searching aspect is something that I’ve always enjoyed. I also enjoy puzzles, so looking for the missing information was also a great aspect for me. I have always liked the story Little Red Riding Hood, so whenever I see a new app pop up on my list that has to do with it, I like to see what it’s about. This app, like many others, didn’t disappoint. I really enjoyed testing it out, and finding  my way through the story.

The game is a combination of game and story.  As you go along, the story is told, but rather than turning the pages of an ebook, you are looking for the clues to unlock more of the story and save the Red Riding Hood Sisters. Seek and Find games have always been a favorite of mine, so this combination was a blast!

You must defeat the evil wolves and queen to rescue the Red Riding Hood Sisters, and in doing so a fantastic story is revealed. I really enjoyed this game, as it has all of my favorite elements: Red Riding Hood, puzzles, and a great story! Overall, I’d recommend it to anyone who likes those elements, but also anyone who is looking for a new game to play that will keep them entertained and engaged for a good while.
