From the 3rd to the 10th of November, during the cultural and environmental heritage appreciation week, Florens 2012, three famous renaissance wooden crucifixes - by Donatello and Filippo Brunelleschi, together with the one carved by the young Michelangelo Buonarroti for the Basilica of Santo Spirito – will be showing together in the ancient Baptistery of Saint Giovanni. It isn’t an art exhibition but a showing of sacred art for the faithful, carried out in the attention of raising a reaction of devotion and faith. The choice of the Baptistery is significant for the Florentines, because the Baptistery of Saint Giovanni is a significant place for all Florentines, it is the ideal centre of the city of Florence and a unique church throughout the world.

This App for iPod and iPad will reveal the Mistery of the Cross, and narrates the three fifteenth century crucifixes showing in the presence of Christ Pantocrator in the Baptistery, through the words of Monsignor Timothy Verdon, Director of the Museum of the Opera of Santa Maria del Fiore, who granted us an exclusive interview.

The product is compatible with iPhone and iPod Touch, requiring iOS 5.0 or later versions.
