appPicker releases brand-new app: appPicker Videos

On October 24, the iOS reviews and news site AppPicker released a brand-new app called AppPicker Videos. The free app is a great resource if you want to check out trailers of some the latest and greatest apps available in the App Store.

These videos will allow you to have a look at the video quality of the apps before you download them, thus saving you time and money (when it comes to paid apps). Brand-new content is added every day, so you can come back whenever you want and see what’s new in the App Store.

You’ll see trailers from apps of all different genres, although games seem to be heavily represented. Of course, each of the trailers also has a button you can tap that will take you directly to the App Store page so you can download the app if you like what you see.

If you swipe right you’ll see a menu in the left sidebar that lists the trailers shown, from newest to oldest.

AppPicker Videos makes it super easy to get an idea of what apps are all about before you download them.

The app is very small; only 0.5 MB, because all of the video content is streamed. You’ll need a device that runs iOS 6.0 or later. It’s compatible with iPhone, iPad, iPad mini, and iPod touch and is optimized for iPhone 5.

The AppPicker site itself is another great resource, particularly if you want to check out some in-depth, real reviews from its team of app testers. With over 650,000 apps available for download from the App Store, sometimes it can be a little overwhelming when you want to try something new. AppPicker’s goal is to make it easier for you to discover apps for your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac.

AppPicker has a Top 100 page, where you can see the Top 100 apps in each category; many of these have been reviewed by the site’s team of reviewers so you can get a better idea of what each app is about.

Other features of the site include Reader Reviews, Interviews, and Promocodes.

The site publishes at least 15 app reviews a day in addition to best-of lists, apps that have gone on sale or are free for a limited time, and news pieces that affect Apple or its products.

The AppPicker website is an official member of the iTunes Affiliate Program and is updated daily.
