On Chinese micro blogging site Weibo, a new photo of what appears to be the front panel to Apple’s larger screen iPhone 6 has appeared. The photo shows an individual holding up the front panel against an iPhone 5S. The new panel features similar characteristics like a front-facing camera cutout, ambient light sensor for automatic brightness, a home button, and an ear speaker. While the bezel is substantially smaller compared to the iPhone 6, the display itself is significantly larger.
A second photo was also posted showing the iPhone 6 panel next to an iPhone 5/5S that’s turned on. It’s pretty much straight on, and therefore shows the larger iPhone having a screen size of roughly 4.7 inches (akin to most rumors).
It’s thought that we’ll see two new iPhone models in September. Both models will feature larger displays than the current iPhone 5S, but the differentiator will still be screen size. There will be a 4.7-inch model (as seemingly shown here) and a 5.5-inch model. It’s unknown if Apple will release a third model keeping the 4-inch screen size to satisfy the large amount of consumers who want a smaller phone.
