Tim Cook teases Apple Watch launch apps at trip to Germany

Everyone is waiting for the special Apple Watch event in San Francisco next Monday, and Tim Cook is apparently just as excited about it. He teased some details in a recent trip to Germany. According to a report by 9to5Mac, he visited Berlin’s flagship Apple Store, and confirmed to the workers there that the device would go on sale in Germany in April. This means that the Watch could launch all at once all over the world, or it could be released in Germany later in the month.

He also told employees that there are a bunch of announcements coming soon about all of the apps. Cook talked about Panera Bread and Salesforce and said Apple Pay could expand into Europe. He also discussed the possibility of giving Apple employees free watches. At the unveiling last September, and Starwood Hotels. Apple usually has third-party developers on stage showing off their apps, so it will be interesting to see what they’ve been doing with the WatchKit SDK.
