How all of Apple could benefit from the Apple Watch

As a general rule, Apple will introduce new tech or features into one product, see how it does, then slowly introduce it to other devices. This, according to a report from Apple Insider, means that Apple can offer a better, more cohesive experience to its users. Since the Watch came out, Apple has started offering more contextually aware, smarter locations, which is what we’d probably all like to see on other devices. Because the Watch needs an iPhone to work there needs to be an extremely tight integration between them. We see this, for example, with notification alerts. When someone’s iPhone receives a notification when it’s locked, the user will get that notification to their Apple Watch; in the same vein, if the iPhone is in use, the Watch will stay quiet while the notification is sent to the iPhone’s screen. This way, iDevices don’t get duplicate notifications. As of right now, users will have to deal with that redundancy when they get notifications on both their Mac laptops or desktops and iPhone.
