According to a report by The Spec, many users in Switzerland are looking for something that does more than just tell the time and date. It’s not about prestige, anymore: it’s about offering different functions and the Apple Watch “will force Swiss mechanical watchmakers to come up with something new.”
An analyst at Bank Vontobel in Zurich, Rene Weber, said that “Young people are definitely the target audience of the Apple Watch.” He was part of the line, and says that maybe Swiss watchmakers will be challenged to make something better and more exciting.
