Apple starts iTunes back-to-school sale with $7 albums

Apple has marked the return to school with a sale on some popular albums on iTunes for as low as $7. The email sent out to U.S. iTunes customers talks about ten albums including ones from The Lumineers, Justin Timberlake, Robin Thicke, and more.

If none of the $7 albums are appealing you’ll only have to spend another $1 to get a further 69 different albums. These include ones from Taylor Swift, Alicia Keys, and Kendrick Lamar.

These promotions tie in perfectly with the iTunes gift card back-to-school offer. Customers who purchased a Mac, iPad, or iPhone before the 6th of September (so you still have time if you’re quick) will get a $50 or $100 gift card depending on the product.

iTunes is expected to go through a massive change in the next few weeks with the launch of iTunes Radio. This service will allow customers to listen to unlimited ad-supported radio for free and those who have iTunes Match ($25/year) get an ad-free version. If this sounds more appealing, don’t buy these albums and just use the radio feature.
