iBrate Vibrate app review: vibrate yes multiple modes no 2021

Reviews

Introduction

iBrate app is a small app that uses your iPhone’s vibration feature to turn it into a massage tool. The iTunes description page, and whats customers have said in their iBrate review, suggests that there are three modes for this and that it is easy to get them to turn on and off.

The best iPhone apps for massage and relaxation

I did not find this to be the case. Keep reading this iBrate app review to learn more about the iBrate app for iPhone and all that it offers.

One Mode

iBrate Vibrate is a small app with a good idea. Sometimes you want to be able to feel the phone’s vibration and it won’t stay on. If you are getting a massage, or have a leg cramp, this would be useful. I liked that there was the option for three different vibration patterns, but could only get the first to turn on.

Best iphone and ipad apps

This may be because you are supposed to touch with one finger for the first setting, two for the second, and three for the third. In my experience the iPhone doesn’t like to be touched in more than one place at a time.

While I couldn’t get the other two modes to initiate, the first setting did vibrate as the app suggested it would. My son got a kick out of this and started trying to make me think I was getting a call.

Usefulness

iBrate Vibrate would be useful in some situations, and because it is free there isn’t a lot to complain about. If it was a paid app, the limited modes and difficulty accessing them would be a top priority for update, and as it is free and in the app description, I feel that they should still get on this soon.

I don’t know about you, but I am picky about how my vibration feels. When I am sitting on my massaging heat pad for my chair, if it is not at the exact right setting, it doesn’t feel good and is frankly, quite annoying. Since I could only get the one setting to initiate, I won’t be keeping this app on my phone.

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Keeps the iPhone vibrate mode on for a massage
  • My son got a kick out of it by making me think I was getting a call
  • Supposedly multiple vibration modes but I couldn’t get them to initiate

Cons

  • Only the one mode would initiate
  • With vibration I’m picky so it was annoying to not be able to control the vibration settings

Final Thoughts

iBrate Vibrate is made to have some fun more than to be a true massage tool. With this in mind, my son did have fun with it in making me think I was getting a call. It promises three modes of vibration, of which I could only get one to initiate.

This was both annoying and did not fulfill the description in the iTunes app store. As such, I cannot recommend this app for anything more than a prank app to give a few laughs and a bit of fun. If you want a massager, you’ll have to keep looking.
