Big Adventure with Simple Words

As mentioned this is the second book in the Spy Sam series. Parents will be happy to know that the content is completely child-friendly with absolutely no violence. The story is filled with mystery, intrigue, spy plots, plans, and gadgets: just what children are interested in.

What makes these books unique is that it uses simple vocabulary that you find in the majority of primary schools. It focuses on using the first 100 words that are usually taught and there is a maximum of 12 words per page.

Keeping the word count small on each page helps to make this book feel less intimidating to kids. There is no shortage of pages either as this story offers more than 90 pages, which will keep kids busy for quite a while. It should be noted that this app doesn't offer spoken narration so kids will need to read on their own.

There are no in-app purchases;once you have bought the app that’s it and you’re given all the contents which parents love.

A Variety of Features

The content is of course really fun and engaging for kids but there are plenty of features that make parents happy too. For example the app doesn't offer the swipe-to-turn-the-page feature, so often kids end up turning the page by an accident.

There are buttons they can press that will help them understand the story better and there is no page number on the pages. The reason you don't see page numbers is that it can be off-putting to kids to see how much is left of the story.

Instead, they can enjoy the story and not even think how far along they are. If you have a child that has dyslexia there is a blue background behind the text meant specifically for them to use. This helps them with the reading process.
