Alright gamers, if you have a love of games that let you stomp critters, collect coins and get bestowed with powers, this might be the app for you. Wawa Land by Play Fripp touts itself as the “2D platformer” that is able to bring the experience of a gaming console to your iPod touch, iPhone, and iPad. If your interest has been piqued then you’ll want to check out this app that features plenty of secrets and bonuses along the way.
You will be playing the game as Wawa, who is a humorous yet extremely brave character who must save The Royal Jelly (who has been kidnapped by critters). As Wawa travels along he will navigate his way through a number of stunning-looking places where he needs to dodge monsters and traps. You’ll manage your way through these obstacles by using Wawa’s special maneuvers such as the back flip, ground pounding, and wall jumping. Sound fun yet? You’ll also want to make use of Wawa’s secret powers like the Pirate Scarf and Tornado’s Helmet. To gain access to the many secret areas and bonuses you need to practice, practice, practice Wawa’s many moves.
The graphics are top-notch and the app features a fun soundtrack. It definitely feels as though you’re playing on a top-rate console thanks to the bright colours, amazing characters and overall gameplay. You’ll be treated to regular updates to give you the heads-up on new features and upgrades available. Right now there are only four hours of gameplay; however, by the end of the year that will have increased to 12 hours of gameplay.
