Wild Surf by Eating My Hat takes you to the lands of surf, sun, and sand, which is basically everyone’s dream way of spending the summer! On Paradise Island, it’s always summer so the fun never ends, nor do the great surfing opportunities! Here the waves are always perfect, the sun is always shining, and the music is always playing. With the Hawaiian surf music playing in the background, it’s easy to get hooked on this app as you ride the waves while trying to avoid the obstacles. The whole point of the app is to surf without meeting up with an angry shark. Collect shells along your way. The shells you collect can be used to spend in Joe’s shop on new surfboards, power ups, and even new surfing characters. The shells can also be used in the Surf Arcade where you can win bonuses. Be careful though, shells can be taken right out of your hands and carried away by some very nasty and hungry seagulls. This fun, laid-back app features 30 different surfing characters from which to choose, 37 different surfboards for plenty of variety, four game center leader boards where you can challenge your friends to some friendly competition, and 70 Game Centre achievements which test your skills. A fun little feature about the game is the day/night cycle so that you get a sense of time passing. There’s even a nightly fireworks display! The day/night cycle also features a few hidden gems along the way, as you’ll soon find out. If you can manage to unlock the evil randomize, you can create a personalized surfer with more than 30,000 possible customizable combinations. Now that’s something cool to work towards!
