London Tube app review: the perfect travel companion for anyone visiting Olde London Town

Reviews

Introduction

If you’re thinking of visiting London, England for a vacation or business this year, or you’re a Londoner yourself and still can’t get the hang of the whole navigation thing, then be sure to check out this awesome travel companion app for Olde London Town.

The best London apps for iPhone

I grew up in London, and to this day I can’t help but feel a small amount of sympathy for the millions of tourists each year who come to the city only to find themselves confounded by the public transport system, especially the London Underground.

I really think that apps like this are essential if you’re visiting London for the first (or third) time, so do yourself a favor: invest a dollar into London Tube and don’t get lost in the city!

Easily Find Your Way Around London

London Tube has been designed to provide tourists and Londoners alike with an all-in-one resource for traveling around the city on a regular basis. If you’ve spent even one day in London then you’ll know just how necessary this kind of resource is.

Best iphone and ipad apps

The London Underground map is a convoluted spaghetti marinara mess of incomprehensible squiggles, and I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve seen Americans, Canadians, Chinese, French, and Thais alike stare in bewilderment at the notices posted around the stations!

Use the Integrated Journey Planner

Of course, the Journey Planner in this app aims to help with that, so all you have to do is input your departure and arrival stations and the London Tube will do the rest.

If you’re walking the streets of London and you start to feel a little lost then fear not, because you can also use your device’s integrated GPS to instantly find your current location along with the nearest tube station.

This, combined with the Journey Planner and the service updates you’ll have access to for all of the lines means that you should have no trouble finding your way around.
