If you’ve never heard of an Om Nom then you need to check out Cut the Rope and see first-hand what this small monster is all about. This cute monster may be tiny but he can eat candy like it’s going out of style.
The background story involves the monster showing up at the doorstep of a mad scientist who is now taking a great interest in the little creature. The scientist is both baffled and intrigued by his large appetite when it comes to sweets so he puts him through a variety of experiments. It’s your job to help Om Nom and the scientist get through all the experiments. This is a follow-up to the original game.
If you were familiar with the original game which include monster feeding and rope cutting, then you will be right at home with this sequel. Gameplay is pretty much the same so you’ll catch on quick. There are, however, some new features that will catch your attention including suction cups and rope shooters.
Probably the new feature that stands out most those is the introduction of the new character, the scientist. He’ll give you plenty of commentary through the game, delivered with his own kooky sense of personality. The scientist/professor will even make comments on Om Nom’s wacky behavior. This helps you feel involved in the game as the moves you make will be be accompanied by commentary.
You’ll be working your way through 12 brand new and exciting experiments, which are in fact levels of the game. There are three new settings with the promise of more to come. The new musical tracks and sounds add to the overall experience and keep this new version fresh. There are three level packs which are Sticky Steps, Shooting the Candy, and Getting Started. Be sure to search for photo evidence that is hidden throughout the game. This information will help the scientist with his experiments.
This fun lighthearted game is a great follow up to the original version and will keep you busy for hours.
