The app features more than 200 ghost novels, horror stories, and short stories. This is a large library within the app, which is impressive. You can also auto-bookmark any story as needed so you can come back to it later. When reading, you have the option to use one of two different scrolling modes: continuous or page-by-page. You can also adjust the text size for ease-of-reading. The user interface and controls are easy to navigate. In addition to the large library of stories, you get creepy animations, more than 40 creepy and haunting sounds that are not really kid friendly, an auto-scare so you can get scared, or scary pranks to play on your friends. The developers have also thrown a couple surprises in there. The sounds include screaming, thunder noises, and ghostly music. The auto-scare function will randomly scare you while reading, or if you leave the app on while you do other stuff. The pranks portion of the app lets you scare your friends while they think they’re playing a simple game. To exit the pranks, tap the top-left corner. Some of the stories you can read include Turn of the Screw, The Tapestried Chamber, Dracula, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Frankenstein, The Valley of Spiders, Canterville Ghost, and Fall of the House of Usher.
