Introduction

Most of Scotland might speak English, but that doesn’t make it any easier for the rest of us to understand Scots who have a thick accent. With Speakin Scottish on your iPhone and iPad you might not be able to fully understand them but you’ll at least be able to try and sound the part!

I would like to start this review by pointing out that this app does not contain any audio content, so don’t expect to be able to listen to any Scottish sound bites because the content is purely text-based.

Speakin Scottish might be a little on the risqué side of things as far as iPhone and iPad apps in general are concerned, but I’ve had a few giggles from it and would urge you not to take things too seriously!

You just type in a word or phrase and the app spits out a guess as to the phonetic spelling of the Scottish way of saying it.”

 

Final Words

Speakin Scottish is hardly the most awe-inspiring iPhone and iPad app I’ve ever come across but it does provide a few cheap laughs so if you’re looking for a quick pick-me-up then it could be just what the doctor ordered.
