Zombie High Dive app review
Introduction
There are many games in the App Store that take themselves way too seriously, but Zombie High Dive is definitely not one of them. Not only is this new game by Chillingo refreshingly fun, but it’s also developed for both iPad and iPhone. The premise of the game is simple: you control a zombie jumping from a platform into a liquid at the bottom and your goal is to make the judges happy with your jump and your finish. The game is completely free to play but of course has some minor monetization features implemented, giving you more chances to play the game and impress the judges. The game weighs in at just under 100 MB.

Gameplay
As mentioned in the introduction of the review, the game revolves around you jumping from a dicing tower. You will start at very low heights and when the game progresses and you beat all kinds of fun zombies, you will climb higher and higher on the tower and beat more and more difficult enemies down the line. You will also be able to compete with your friends, challenge them to one-to-one matches and compete on a global leaderboard. The gameplay will get a bit stale after a while, as there aren’t many new moves or anything to unlock, so don’t expect a lot of depth like a game such as Tony Hawk or any other big combo games. It is basically a vertical Angry Birds with a twist.

Graphics and Sound
There are a few things that developer Chillingo never gets wrong and that is the graphics, the sound, and the overall presentation. The game looks to have the same quality and humor as Plants vs Zombies (funnily enough, is also owned by EA) and the game simply looks great. The sound of the game is also exactly what you expect from this developer. There are a few downsides which are the constant ads and requests to spend real money in the game, which in my opinion is something the developer could have toned down a little bit. To play more you will have to wait for a while and unlock a ticket.

Conclusion
I can definitely recommend this game to anyone who likes zombies and who likes simple mind-numbing games. As the developer says himself, you don’t need any brains to play this game, which makes it ideal for some relaxing play session and simple time-wasting. The game excels on the presentation side, but this will never be enough to keep you entertained for long, as the gameplay is quite flat. The game is developed for both iPad and iPhone and is just under 100 MB.
