This was the Top App in Spain’s Books category. This app is a 14-page interactive book about a little boy going to sleep. It’s filled with soft lullaby music that will help your child prepare for sleep. Once the little boy goes to bed, wait for the lights to go off. The rest of the book is about his dreams and the fantasy world that lives within his dreams. Let your child put the boy to bed by dragging him with a finger. This helps your child realize that it’s his or her bedtime, too. There are many interactive characters that your child can touch, swipe, and bump. You’ll read, play, listen, and make music. The illustrations are beautifully done by Màriam Ben-Arab. The user interface is simple, intuitive, and easy to use. The text is very simple to read.
You have a couple of different options with Off to bed!: read it yourself, have it read by a professional voiceover artist, or have the pages turn automatically. Your child can touch each phrase to hear it again, which is great for young readers. Your child can also touch the sheep to “count” them, which helps with counting skills. You are also able to turn off the music, which is good for kids who are easily stimulated at night. The app has no advertising.
