City Sandbox

Price: $1.99

City Sandbox by Cardboard Lemon is a creative game that will have you building your very own 2D cities and towns.

Now you can see what it feels like to be a city planner/developer as you build incredible 2D towns, cities, and societies. You can build them to look exactly the way you want and make the kind of society you want.

You're able to be as creative as you like and perhaps have a hobo village, a technology advanced city, or maybe all your people will be living in fish tanks. It's up to you. There are more than 120 decorations and structures for you to use in your building process.

Features of the game include the classic mode where you will need to work on balancing six elements which are population, power, peace, water, mood, and technology. The Sandbox mode is meant for those who are lazy yet creative.

You can also experience scenarios that will be dependent upon your city's rating. There are also disasters that will cause chaos in your town/city which are riot, meteorite, asteroid, and earthquake. You'll need to work hard to restore your city after disaster.

Get silly with the novelty tools that will let you do crazy things like inflate people in the sky and drive a bathtub in the sky.

City Sandbox was updated on Apr. 11, 2013. It is suitable for kids nine and up. The app does not yet have enough ratings for iTunes to display an average.

This is a wonderfully immersive game that becomes addictive right from the start. I liked the variety of buildings and decorations I could use and the disasters really created a whole new level of challenge as you try to recover from them.

For: iPad with iOS 3.2 or later
