Tap-Dictionary

Price: Free

Tap-Dictionary by Ronen Drihem gives you quick and easy access to a dictionary on your iPad whenever you need one.

All you need to do with this app is tap on the word you want to look up while using the Safari web browser. That's right there's no need to switch applications; you can find the definition while you're actually surfing the Internet.

Because you don't have to switch applications you save time looking up words and it's just a whole lot more convenient. Not only will the page instantly open for that word in the dictionary but you can also hear the word's proper pronunciation.

The app supports a number of different languages making it even more convenient. The app also features a link to Google and Wikipedia.

It’s incredible how many times a dictionary app can come in handy. This is great for students, writers, and even those people who just have in interest in growing their vocabulary. If you draft a lot of documents, read a lot of documents or contracts or the like, this can be very useful again.

Tap-Dictionary was released on Mar. 1, 2011 and currently has 171 customer ratings with an average rating of three and a half out of five stars.

There are a lot of great features about this app. I really like that you can listen to the word being pronounced so that when you turn around and use it in a sentence you can feel confident in the correct way to say it.

For: iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad with iOS 3.0 or later
