FingerLaser II app review

Reviews

Introduction

FingerLaser II by WeiTing Weng is a fabulous action game free for the holiday season.

The game was listed as a top game in Italy, Japan, Korea, and Taiwan. There are two different modes you can play: Classic or Arcade.

In Classic Mode, you get a simple interface with a tap and swipe gameplay. Laser beams shoot out from your finger and fly towards your enemies. Act to defend your base against any enemies and use energy balls and laser beams to do so.

You can switch among your different laser beams: standard, ice-laser, and bio-laser. Use the proper one depending on the enemy you need to defeat. This can give you an edge, but be aware, because your enemies will evolve as you play and there are a total of 15 different types throughout the game. Stay on your toes.

In Arcade Mode, you don’t have to protect your base; rather, you have to kill as many enemies as possible in 60 seconds. Enemy packs will help you with your score. This mode is similar to some of the other iPhone arcade games in the App Store.

More Information

You’ll earn rank from Spaceman to General and will earn bronze, silver, and gold medals. There are more than 40 challenges you could achieve if you play hard enough.

You can track your statistics and see how you can improve your strategy and thus your score. The game is Game Center integrated, so you can post your high scores on worldwide leaderboards or post to your favorite social networking platform.

FingerLaser II was updated to Version 1.3.5 on December 12, 2012. The update added new enemies for the holiday season. The current version has 7 customer ratings with an average of five out of five stars, while the app in general has 59 five-star ratings.

I liked the option to play the different modes. Sometimes you only have a minute or two to play, and Arcade Mode is perfect for these times. The Classic Mode is a little more involved and requires more time, but also allows you to get more into it. I like both options. This is a great app.
