Wink! by Evertale ApS is an instant photo sharing app for your iOS device.

The app is designed to share photos with your friends, quickly and easily. You can send certain photos to certain friends with Wink!, unlike with Facebook where you have to either post an image to your profile for all to see, or send it via private message.

All you have to do is take a photo, pick which friends to whom you’d like to send your photo, and hit “Share.” Wink will tell your friends they’ve received an image and you can see when a friend has viewed it.

Wink! works with Facebook so it knows your friends. The great thing is that you can set it so nearby Wink! friends get the photos you take, automatically. Or you can tap to send it off to whoever you want. Of course, you can also share photos with your Winks! Friends that you don’t want going on Facebook for all your friends and family to see.

Of course, for this app to work, all your friends have to have it too. It’s easy to convince your friends, though, since it’s free to download and use. Keep in mind that the friends to whom you send the photos have to be nearby.Wink! app review

The Wink! app was updated to Version 1.1 on December 20, 2012. The update added a notification center. The app does not yet have enough customer ratings for iTunes to display an average and there are no feedback comments yet.

I’m not sure how much I would use this app, but I can see the appeal in it for people who are out and about all the time. The only downside to the app – and one maybe developers can work on for an upcoming update – is that you can’t send photos already on your Camera Roll. You have to send photos taken from within the app.
