Slingin’ Santa by Zicix LLC is a super fun present-tossing app for your iOS device this holiday season.
Your job with this app is to ride along with Jolly Old Saint Nick on his sleigh and help him sling presents into the chimneys of all the good little boys and girls.
This is a totally addictive game that will have you coming back for more trying to beat your score. You’ll have nine neighborhoods that you have to complete, with each one being increasingly harder. The background music is fun and modern Christmas music.
The app is an arcade-runner style combined with slingshot gameplay action to make this a fresh and fun take on a classic. You can compete for fastest completion time, most gifts delivered, and highest score on Game Center. You can keep playing until you’ve beaten the achievements, too; play until you get better!
Pull the sling all the way back – don’t be afraid to do too much. If you sink shots and shoot stars you’ll earn score multipliers. Combos and streaks earn you bonus points.
There are several in-app purchases you can make ranging from $0.99 to $4.99, depending on the amount of cookies you want to buy.
Whatever you do, watch out for those houses with the black smoke - they’re bad!
The app was released mid-December 2012 and is available in English. The game is suitable for kids four and up. There are a total of 59 ratings with an average of 4.5 out of five stars and feedback comments are all positive. All commenters gave the game five stars.
I can see why the commenters gave the app such a high rating – it’s loads of fun and is easy to learn yet challenging enough that even adults will enjoy playing it.
