Chekked by Apped is a game that combines the traditions of Chess and Checkers but is a whole-new game for your iOS device.

The number value of each piece determines how far it can move like in Chess. Like Checkers, all the pieces move diagonally, but they can also move backwards and forwards. You take out your opponent’s pieces by landing on them.

Stack up your pieces to increase their power, or make Kings by making your way to the other side of the board. In addition to diagonal and forward and back moves, a King can move side to side and up and down onto the white squares.

For each move you make, for every opponent’s piece you take, and each game you win, and the fastest you win, you’ll score points. Also, as you continue to play and win, your pieces will gain value.

There are nine different player characters to play, six opponents you can play against, and each opponent plays differently. There are three playing levels so everyone can play.

Chekked was released early January, 2013. The app has a total of six ratings with an average of five out of five stars.

I really like how the game evolves as your skill improves. It will offer a continual challenge and it’s a fun way to kill some time.
