The Flashlight app does more than just turn your device into a flashlight. It also comes packed with different functions such as a strobe, compass, altitude tracker, and a live map.

Using the super bright LED from the flash on your devices camera, Flashlight keeps the light on allowing you to use your device in the dark just like an ordinary flashlight. The light is turned on or off from the apps interface and can also be used to set the light to act as a strobe. The strobe function makes the light blink at very high frequencies which can be controlled from the apps interface as well.

Other built in features such as the compass and altitude tracker are handy for navigating your way through the dark or to use for whatever purpose you desire. The app also includes an interactive map that shows you when and where thousands of other flashlight users are, who are currently using the flashlight app.

Flashlight also now comes with selectable background skins to help you personalize your Flashlight app. It also has an animated lighter and candle light function and you can change the screen illumination color from one of the several colors available.

This app has 5952 ratings with an average of 4.5 out of five stars. It was also updated to version 3.0 on October 26, 2012 which included the new simple mode and iOS compatibility.
