HISTORY by A&E Television Networks Mobile is an entertainment app that lets you watch your favorite History channel shows such as Swamp People, American Pickers, Pawn Stars and more!

This app gives you access to full episodes and clips from all that the History Channel has to offer. With the ability to create a customized watch list, you will never miss your favorite shows, and you will always receive the shows that you want. You will have exclusive access to never-before seen on TV content, and can explore a selection of clips from the most fascinating eras of history with the Topics section.

If you are a Comcast or DirectTV subscriber you will have access to even more content, with more providers coming soon. The newest update has provided users with iCloud syncing between your devices. Now you can start watching your show on your iPad and then finish it on your iPhone or iPod touch.

HISTORY for iPad was updated to Version 1.1 on February 11, 2013. It has a total of 391 customer ratings with an average of three and a half out of five stars. Feedback is not very positive, with many users disappointed by the reality theme focus. Users are dismayed at the lack of documentaries the history channel is so well known for. People who enjoy the app are quick to point out this is a free app with no ads, and are happy with the exclusive content not found anywhere else.

I love the History channel, but primarily for its great documentaries and historical recounts. With this app having a large focus on its reality TV series, it leaves me slightly disappointed. As far as using the app I had no problems and enjoyed the easy navigation of the app. While this won’t make my favorite list, I will hang on to it for a while.
