Jungle Picnic for iPad app review

Reviews

Jungle Picnic

Price: $2.99

Jungle Picnic by Shiny Things is an interactive, educational app for children.

Follow Charlie and his friends through the story as you listen or read along. Games are integrated into the story and involve identifying colors and shapes, counting objects, recognizing words and sweeping, tapping, and dragging objects, using the iPad display.

Jungle Picnic skillfully combines different styles of learning, both formal and casual, to ensure that your child will remain attentive, all the while having fun. The friendly characters and easily-recognizable objects make for an approachable learning experience that will feel like play to your child.

Designed for children between the ages of two and four years old, this app will aid with problem-solving skills such as sorting and matching objects, literacy, mathematics, and fine motor skills.

Jungle Picnic was updated to version 1.0.2 in late-January of 2013. The current version has a total of 16 customer ratings with an average rating of 4.5 out of 5 stars. Customer reviews are generally very positive.

My daughter is a little too old to enjoy Jungle Picnic; however, the colorful visuals, vibrant audio, and incredibly-simplistic navigation make this app a very useful and enjoyable learning aid for young children. I would definitely recommend this app to any parent.

For: iPad with iOS 5.0 or later.
