DentalDecide by ORCA MD is a medical-based app with the goal to teach you about teeth and dental conditions.

With this iPad app you'll learn about the anatomy of a tooth, best dental practices, conditions, solutions, and you can even use the app to locate a specialist. When you launch the app you'll find it has been divided into four sections that are Find a Specialist, Solutions, Condition, and Anatomy. From here you can choose the path you want to take.

In the conditions category there are a number of medical images that are used with annotations. You will be able to read specifics about each dental procedure or condition, see what it looks like, read about recommendations for treatment, and read about findings and symptoms.

The Solutions category features a listing of specialists that are based on your geographic location. There are search tools you can use to find, sort, and then filter based on such parameters as language spoken, insurance, and specialty.

In this latest version of the app a number of improvements were made to the user interface, resulting in better performance and stability.

Some of the issues you can read about here include a root canal, gum disease, crown, bridge, extraction, implant, routine clean, veneers, teeth whitening, and wisdom teeth.

I like that this app gave you basic information as well as more in-depth details combined with pictures. Because the app was divided into categories it was also very easy to navigate. Providing a way to find a specialist was a great way to complete the app and its purpose.
