Audio Memos Free by Imesart S.a.r.l. allows you to easily and conveniently record audio memos anytime you like on your iPad.

While this app is classified as a business-based app its uses reach much further. The user-interface was designed to be very easy to comprehend, simple, and clean. But not to worry you'll still find advanced features here.

Features include the ability to edit your recordings, volume boost, volume normalizing, and plenty more. In fact you'll get most of the features you'll find in the paid version however the free one does contain ads.

There are no limits on the recording length of your notes, so go ahead and recite as much as you like. They will be stored on your device and then you can back them up to your computer by email or a web browser. If you're sending your recordings by email they can be up to 3 MB in size.

You can record in three different quality levels which are 11025 Hz, 22050 Hz and 44100 Hz.

This app is able to record audio even if your device happens to be in sleep mode. Should an incoming call come in while you're recording it will automatically pause.
